The Piper PA-38 Tomahawk is one of the lesser known Pipers, forever overshadowed by the ubiquitous PA-28 Warrior series. Nevertheless, it has trained many pilots, and at today’s prices, good 30+ year-old examples can be found at around $20,000, making it a bargain for potential aircraft owners. The Tomahawk was to Piper what the 152 was to Cessna, an intended “affordable” trainer. In the years between 1978 and 1982, more than 2,400 examples were built. It is capable of cruising at 100 knots at 10,500 ft. The FSX aircraft featured is the older “Flying Club” release from Just Flight.
