The Hawker Hunter was another great British jet interceptor developed in the 50’s which saw service for several decades longer than anticipated. Entering the RAF in 1954, it was successively developed through several versions, until the F.6 became the standard fighter variant. By 1963, newer types were entering the service, and the Hunter was further developed to become a Fighter Ground Attack aircraft. The two-seater trainers remained active in the RAF to the early 90’s.
